n the western world it seems as if "we have it all" but are loosing the joy of living. I do understand that alot of people are feeling torn down by the economic changes in the world, but in this post I'm heading in the direction of feeling empty and unhappy. I have recently met alot of people that are struggling. At first it seems as if everything is ok. Great job, nice family and enough money to handle their days. Beyond the facade, a complete different story is revealed. It seems as if more people are dealing with anxiety and depressions than I was aware of. I have personally been able to be a shoulder to cry on, and yes I have been able to help sevral people to get their eyes "sparkling" again, but I have had a hard time to be able to help people to get rid of Anxiety & Panic Attacks. If you know someone that are struggling you should take a look at my videoreview. Yes, I'll earn some money if you actually buy something. But I do believe thats ok for you if the method I'll show you could "solve the problem". Please drop me a line if you experience success using this method. ;-) arthur One tuck & One no-tuck 01/20/2010

There is an even easier way to help than by going to the Red Cross website. You can quickly give $10 to the Red Cross to help the disaster in Haiti by texting "HAITI" to 90999. It's that simple. It will take 10 seconds. Get on it. You can spare $10. This online book is worth reading 01/11/2010
"The 1-2-3 Money Plan: The Three Most Important Steps to Saving and Spending Smart" http://my.safaribooksonline.com/9780137013876 "If someone wants to sell you a program so you can make big money like they're making, pause a moment. Think about it. Why would they put money, time, and energy into developing a tape set or live presentation instead of doing that thing that makes them big money? It's illogical, unless they're truly being charitable. More likely, they make their big money on selling you the false hope of making big money." Please just remember, the above statement is not my opinion, but you should always consider "everything". Three passions have governed my life 01/11/2010
Three passions have governed my life: The longings for love, the search for knowledge, And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind]. Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness. In the union of love I have seen In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined. With equal passion I have sought knowledge. I have wished to understand the hearts of [people]. I have wished to know why the stars shine. Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens, But always pity brought me back to earth; Cries of pain reverberated in my heart Of children in famine, of victims tortured And of old people left helpless. I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot, And I too suffer. This has been my life; I found it worth living Bertrand Russel adapted When My Mind is Still 01/10/2010
When my mind is still and alone with the beating of my heart, I remember things too easily forgotten: The purity of early love, The maturity of unselfish love that asks -- desires -- nothing but another's good, The idealism that has persisted through all the tempest of life. When my mind is still and alone with the beating of my heart, I can find a quiet assurance, an inner peace, in the core of my being. It can face the doubt, the loneliness, the anxiety, Can accept these harsh realities and can even grow Because of these challenges to my essential being. When my mind is still and alone with the beating of my heart, I can sense my basic humanity, And then I know that all men and women are my brothers and sisters. Nothing but my own fear and distrust can separate me from the love of friends. If I can trust others, accept them, enjoy them, Then my life shall surely be richer and more full. If I can accept others, this will help them to be more truly themselves, And they will be more able to accept me. When my mind is still and alone with the beating of my heart, I know how much life has given me: The history of the race, friends and family, The opportunity to work, the chance to build myself. Then wells within me the urge to live more abundantly, With greater trust and joy, With more profound seriousness and earnest service, And yet more calmly at the heart of life. Paul Beattie Getting away from it all 01/05/2010
Haven't you ever had time you wanted to get away from it all? In March/April 1978, www.motherearthnews.com published a story about a couple who bought McLeod's Island a 90-acre island off the coast of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. They have a few animals, spend very little on groceries, and are pretty well sustained by the island itself. Although it does present them with some challenges: "The sea, you know, is not called "restless" for nothing. A glass-smooth bay (as we've learned so well!) can churn-sometimes seemingly in seconds-into a windswept chaos of currents and combers. We've also seen that same bay (the one in which our island is located) thaw and then completely refreeze in just hours on a single December day. Winters up here can be especially variable. Continual spring-like thaws throughout 1976's cold season, for instance, kept our bay filled with slushy ice that was too thick to push a boat through ... but too dangerous for even a fox to walk on. We were marooned for three full months, from the first of January until the end of March. Last winter's record cold snap, on the other hand, filled the bay so solidly with pack ice that we could hike back and forth to the mainland for our mail and toboggan loads of supplies any time we wanted." For some of us, we find the Internet gives us the freedom to be able to work and live almost any place we want to. These people didn't have that luxury. I use the past tense as I can't find any current information about them. Who knows? Maybe the tide swept the out to sea. Life is full of sacrifices. Some are just more dear than others. Still, I don't think buying an island is in my future. You can read the whole article here. http://www.motherearthnews.com/library/1978_March_April/We_Homesteaded_an_Island Because I'll show you som videos that are just amazing. Innovate your life 01/03/2010
Innovation is a talent that everyone has, yet they think they don't. If you've ever marvelled at somebody's creative prowess, guess what, you can create and innovate too. It just takes time. Everyone is born creative. The box of crayons in kindergarten were not limited to those who possessed potential; because the truth is, everybody has potential. You know how long it took to learn to ride a bike or drive or to never commit the same mistake again? It's the same with innovation. It takes a bit of practice and a lot of time before this mind function comes easily when called. This article will teach you a few tips on how to bring innovation into your life. Don't listen to what other people say. Follow the beat of your own drum. Allowing for the input of other people will only bring cacophony to the music you are trying to make. If you have an original idea, don't waste your time and effort trying to make people understand. They won't. And the help you will probably get comes in the form of negative feedback. If all those geniuses listened to their peers, we would probably still be living in the middle ages. Spend time on it. I cannot stress that enough, although, please do not mistake this tip to tell you to quit your day job entirely. Do not. This involves some tricky time management but with a little discipline you'll be able to squeeze both in. Exercise. Take a walk. Run a mile or two. Send all those endorphins coursing through your veins. Exercising certainly clears and relaxes your mind and allows for anything to pop up. Record your dreams Aren't some of them just the craziest things that your conscious mind would never have thought of? If you've had these dreams before, and I'm sure have, this only shows you the untapped innovative power you have lying within. So jot down those notes. Those dreams may just create an innovative spark in you. Find your own style You can always tell a Van Gogh from a Matisse. You'll know Hemingway wrote something by the choice of words on the paper. So it is the same with you. People will appreciate your innovation more because it is uniquely yours and that no one else would have thought of what you were thinking. That will let people see how valuable an asset you are. Don't hide behind nifty gadgets or tools. You don't need the most expensive set of paints to produce a masterpiece. The same way with writing. You don't need some expensive fountain pen and really smooth paper for a bestseller. In fact, J.K. Rowling wrote the first book of the Harry Potter Series on bits of tissue. So what if you've got an expensive SLR camera if you're a crappy photographer? Who cares if you've got a blinging laptop if you can't write at all? The artist actually reduces the number of tools he has as he gets better at his craft: he knows what works and what doesn't. Nothing will work without passion. What wakes you up in the mornings? What keeps the flame burning? What is the one thing that "you'll die of" if you don't do? Sometimes people with talent are overtaken by the people who want it more. Think the hare and the tortoise. Ellen Degeneres once said that if you're not doing something that you want to do, then you don't really want to do it. And that's true. Sometimes you just want something so bad you become a virtual unstoppable. And that is passion. Passion will keep you going. Don't worry about inspiration. You can't force it; inspiration hits when you least expect it to, for those unpredictable yet inevitable moments you should prepare. An idea could strike you on the subway, yet alas, you poor unfortunate soul; you have no sheet of paper to scribble down a thought that could change the world. Avoid these disasters. Have a pen and paper within your arm's reach at all times. I hope this article has helped you bring more innovation into your life. |
