"Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go." Mother Teresa (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997) Mother Teresa made a strong impact on me when I was a young boy. I do remember that there were alot of jokes flying around at the time she received The Nobel Peace Price in 1979. I guess, because people really did not know what she was up too. For over 45 years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying, while guiding the Missionaries of Charity's expansion, first throughout India and then in other countries. In this blog post I have written down a few of he her qutoes. When you read them, I guess you and I have to stop, think and readjust. What a great inspiration she was, and still is. Please read more about her at wikipedia. "Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty." Mother Teresa "Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do... but how much love we put in that action." Mother Teresa "Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless." Mother Teresa "Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand." Mother Teresa "One of the greatest diseases is to be nobody to anybody." Mother Teresa CommentsWed, 06 Jan 2010 02:07:31 I was looking at a photo of Mother Teresa the other day, and I happened to notice how damaged her teeth were. Of course that would be the case that her teeth would suffer, since she spent her life as a care-taker among poor people. This is in direct opposition to how having well-taken-care of looking teeth is considered to be the prerequisite for social success in our culture. Leave a Reply |
