Outsourcing can become your worst nightmare 05/09/2010
There are plenty of reasons that you or your company should outsource parts or sometimes every part of your business. When I started out making websites in the mid 90's, the competition was not scary. Today, "everybody" can make a Website, and sometimes in just a few minutes with all the tools and services that are available for just a few $. Ok, now you have your Website up and running. You have maybe spent day or even months to make it look nice. You tell your friends about it, and hope they will tell their friends about it…and on and on. You might have created a blog - just for fun, or to be able to earn some money promoting your company, products and services. Back in the 90's I used to have a button on my site telling me and the other visitors how many visitors that had been to my site. Because, in the end of the day, that is something you would like to know, unless you are juste writing something out in the blue. This site, whybcause.com has between 80-150 vitiators per day. Compared with the giants, it's nothing, but compared to "0" it's great. And I am really happy that you have found your way to my site. Some tips, and a link to a video I found really interesting the other day. #1 If you do not have your own blog, get one. I du suggest http://wordpress.com. The reason is that I have tested out 50 different solutions, and I do believe that Word press has the best flexibility out there. Get your own blog, at least for the fun of it and to be able to write about stuff that you care about. #2 Sign up with http://www.google.com/analytics/ and get some feedback on your site. #3 Tell me about your blog and I'll be glad to link to it from my blog right here. And that will certainly give you some traffic. Finally. I came across this site the other day about outsourcing. You should take a good look at it because it contains some valuable information. The guy behind the video, John Reese is a giant within the online industry. He knows his stuff. He's actually making an highend online course for people. It might be a bit expensive, at least he is telling so, but you should absolutely take a look at the video. Be sure to grab a pen and pencil and take notes. Outsourcing can become your worst nightmare if you do not think about everything. The reason for this is that the team you work with should absolutely be in "total sync" with you. If not, you'll spend alot of time and money, and in some cases - ruin your business. (I'm sorry for this scary part, but it is tru). CommentsLeave a Reply |
